Zac Gallen suffers third loss of season Thursday
by David Leisering | Diamondbacks Correspondent | Fri, May 8th 8:18am EDT
Zac Gallen allowed four runs on six hits, walked two, and struck out five in six innings on Thursday as the Diamondbacks suffered a 4-2 loss to the Pirates.
Fantasy Impact:
Gallen allowed two solo home runs - one to Brandon Lowe and one to Joey Bart - in the game but, otherwise, it was not a terrible outing for the veteran. However, after going 1-0 with a 2.19 ERA in five April starts, Gallen is 0-2 with a 9.31 ERA in two May outings. Overall, he is 1-3 with a 4.70 ERA in eight starts and has allowed opponents to hit .292 on the year - third-highest among qualified National League starters. He'll look to get back on track Tuesday in Texas.
