Logan Porter has contract selected by Giants

by David Leisering | Giants Correspondent | Sat, May 9th 9:26pm EDT

Logan Porter had his contract selected by the San Francisco Giants from Triple-A Sacramento on Saturday. (San Francisco Giants on X)

Fantasy Impact:

The Giants have an open spot on their roster for a catcher after trading Patrick Bailey to Cleveland on Saturday, so Porter will rejoin the big league club. He was hitting just .179 (7-for-39) in 12 games at Triple-A Sacramento and is a .184 hitter (7-for-38) with a home run and four RBI in 47 career plate appearances in the majors. He'll likely serve as the backup catcher to Jesus Rodriguez until Daniel Susac (elbow) returns from the injured list.
