Julio Robaina signs minor league deal with Braves

Julio Robaina has signed a minor league contract with the Atlanta Braves. Additional reports have said that the lefthander will head to Triple-A Gwinnett. (Francys Romero on X)
Fantasy Impact:
Robaina, who spent time in the Astros organization from 2018-24, was also the third starter for Team Cuba in the World Baseball Classic this past March. The lefthander made four starts for Quintana Roo in the Mexican League this season and went 2-0 with a 1.47 ERA in 18.1 innings. He got as high as Triple-A Sugar Land in the Houston system, starting one game in 2024. Robaina is an intriguing depth pickup by the Braves even though he likely won't get called up to Atlanta anytime soon.
