Antonio Senzatela picks up third save of season Saturday
by David Leisering | Rockies Correspondent | Sun, May 17th 9:33am EDT
Antonio Senzatela pitched a scoreless ninth inning to earn his third save of the season on Saturday, helping the Rockies to a 4-2 win over the Diamondbacks.
Fantasy Impact:
Senzatela allowed a single and a walk to consecutive batters with one out, but struck out Corbin Carroll and retired Geraldo Perdomo on a fly out to end the game. Senzatela has been outstanding is his first season being used exclusively out of the pen, posting a 1.27 ERA and a 0.81 WHIP in 13 appearances (28.1 innings). He has not allowed an earned run in 10 of his 13 outings and Saturday's effort was the first time he has been called upon to get only three outs. That signals that he might be the new favorite in Colorado for save chances moving forward, and, if you're looking for saves, now would be the time to pounce.
