Jesus Luzardo ends up on losing side of pitcher's duel
by Nate Miller | Phillies Correspondent | Wed, May 20th 10:48am EDT
Jesus Luzardo allowed two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out five over six innings in Tuesday's 4-1 loss to the Reds.
Fantasy Impact:
Luzardo delivered his fourth strong outing in his last five starts on Tuesday, but he took a tough-luck loss, as the Phillies could not get anything going against Reds hurler Chase Burns. With this effort, Luzardo got his ERA under 5.00 for the first time since early April. The 28-year-old lefty now has a 1.31 WHIP and 66 strikeouts across 55 2/3 innings on the year. He should return to the mound Monday in San Diego.
