Wade Meckler hits first career homer in season debut Friday

Wade Meckler went 2-for-3 with a three-run home run in his season debut on Friday, helping the Angels to a 9-6 victory over the Rangers.
Fantasy Impact:
Meckler sent the very first pitch he saw from Rangers' starter Jacob deGrom over the right center field wall for a three-run homer in the bottom of the first. It was his first home run at the big league level in his 21st career game. He played 20 games with the Giants back in 2023 and batted .232 in 56 at bats. Meckler later added a single and a walk as he reached base three times on Friday. It's unclear what kind of playing time he will receive moving forward, but this was certainly an excellent season debut.
