Brandon Valenzuela swipes first base of season Friday

by Brenton Kemp | Blue Jays Correspondent | Sat, May 23rd 11:34am EDT

Blue Jays catcher Brandon Valenzuela stole his first base of the season in a 6-2 win over the Pirates on Friday.

Fantasy Impact:

Valenzuela went 0-for-2 on the night but also walked twice and scored a run in addition to his stolen base in the bottom of the eighth inning. The rookie backstop has been solid after his early-season promotion, clubbing four homers to go along with his lone stolen base and .705 OPS through 93 trips to the plate.
