Two-Start Rostered Pitchers Notes
- Kevin Gausman lines up to face two of his former teams in the same week. The Orioles drafted him, and the Braves were the first team he was traded to. Baltimore has struggled with a 24.5% strikeout rate against righties, while Atlanta has the eighth-lowest strikeout rate against them.
- Logan Webb is projected to return from the injured list (IL) and is set to make two starts in Week 10. He’s mostly struggled this season with a 5.06 ERA and 1.40 WHIP, and gets two tough matchups. Still, there is plenty of time for him to turn it around, and he has the track record.
- Davis Martin has had quite the breakout campaign in the early going. He’s compiled a 2.04 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, 9.6 K/9 and 7-1 record in 10 starts across 61.2 innings. His seven wins are tied for the league lead with Chris Sale and Gavin Williams.

Two Start Streamer Options Notes
- Cole Ragans has felt much better in his bullpen sessions and should return from the IL next week. Not much has gone right for him this season (4.84 ERA, 1.42 WHIP, 15.2% walk rate), but he had started to make progress before the injury. Two starts earlier, he threw six innings of one-run ball with 11 strikeouts. He also struck out four and allowed just one hit over three scoreless innings before landing on the IL.
- Eric Lauer was forced out of the Blue Jays’ rotation and ultimately traded to the Dodgers. He now looks to improve on his 6.69 ERA, 1.49 WHIP and 6.4 K/9. Undoubtedly, the Dodgers are the best destination for quickly turning a season around.
- Taj Bradley is also close to returning from the IL. He was in the midst of the best season of his career before the injury; however, the question remains how he will perform once he returns. After not allowing more than one run in his first four starts, Bradley allowed at least two runs in his next four, including a six-run thumping. His first start in his return is against the Red Sox before he gets two divisional matchups in his two-start week.
- Carlos Rodon looked sharp in his most recent start since making his season debut. He completed five innings, allowed one run and struck out seven. However, his command remains an issue. He has allowed three or more walks in all three outings this year and has a career-worst 18.6% walk rate. However, I wouldn’t expect it to continue at double his career rate.
