Janson Junk picks up win Monday

Janson Junk allowed one run on eight hits and no walks while striking out three over five innings in Monday's 8-2 win over the Toronto Blue Jays.
Fantasy Impact:
Junk bounced back on Monday after allowing 19 earned runs across his previous three starts, surrendering just one earned run against Toronto. He was able to strand seven runners, as the Blue Jays failed to capitalize on several scoring opportunities throughout the outing. After posting a 2.83 ERA and 1.01 WHIP in April, Junk owns a 7.00 ERA and 1.59 WHIP in May. Despite the improved performance on Monday, he remains difficult to trust in fantasy formats, as he has now allowed at least seven hits in four consecutive starts. His next scheduled outing is on Sunday against the New York Mets.
