Tomoyuki Sugano suffers loss to Dodgers Wednesday
by David Leisering | Rockies Correspondent | Thu, May 28th 7:06am EDT
Tomoyuki Sugano allowed three runs on six hits with a walk and three strikeouts over 4.2 innings on Wednesday in a 4-0 loss to the Dodgers.
Fantasy Impact:
Honestly, it could've been much worse as Sugano allowed solo home runs to Shohei Ohtani and Freddie Freeman in the first three batters he faced. He retired eight of the next ten he faced before giving up three straight hits in the fourth which allowed the Dodgers to score their third run of the game. Sugano has now allowed 11 home runs this season - tied for sixth-most in the National League. But, overall, he has posted respectable numbers in his first season with the Rockies as he sports a 4-4 record with a 4.01 ERA and a 1.25 WHIP in 11 starts (58.1 innings). Sugano is scheduled to pitch again on Tuesday against the Angels.
