Tyler Phillips tagged for three runs in loss Saturday
by Nicholas Rodriguez | Marlins Correspondent | Sun, May 31st 4:38am EDT
Phillips allowed three earned runs on six hits and one walk while striking out two over five innings in Saturday's 6-1 loss to the New York Mets.
Fantasy Impact:
Phillips made his second start of the season on Saturday after opening the year in the bullpen. He reached a season-high 73 pitches and was able to work through five innings. While the outing was not particularly memorable, he provided the Miami Marlins with much-needed length as their rotation continues to battle injuries. He owns a 3.12 ERA and 1.27 WHIP with three strikeouts across two starts and is currently lined up to make his next start on Friday against the Tampa Bay Rays.
