Jung is slashing .312/.367/.490 with seven home runs, 27 runs scored, and 23 RBI across 221 plate appearances this season, with his strikeout rate dropping from 25.2 percent in 2025 to 14.9 percent in 2026. He singled and scored as part of Texas' ninth-inning comeback Saturday before adding a base hit in the seventh.

Jung got the scoring started with a solo homer off Seth Lugo in the first inning, finishing 3-for-5 with two runs scored in the 7-6 win over Kansas City.
