Willi Castro swipes bag Sunday
by David Leisering | Rockies Correspondent | Sun, May 31st 10:23pm EDT
Willi Castro went 1-for-5 with a stolen base on Sunday as the Rockies suffered a loss to the Giants.
Fantasy Impact:
Castro singled and then executed a double steal with Tyler Freeman in the first inning against Robbie Ray for his fourth swipe of the year. The veteran hit out of the leadoff spot on Sunday and started at first base with TJ Rumfield scratched due to a shoulder injury. Castro is batting .263 through 49 games this season which would be a career-best if the season ended today. However, after averaging 11 home runs and 19 stolen bases over the last three seasons, he has only two homers and four steals this year. Castro has hit safely in seven of his last eight games, batting .375 (12-for-32) during the stretch.
