Shota Imanaga serves up four homers in another rough outing Thursday
by David Leisering | Cubs Correspondent | Fri, Jun 5th 12:19am EDT
Shota Imanaga allowed six runs on six hits - four of which were home runs - in six innings on Thursday in a no-decision against the Athletics.
Fantasy Impact:
Imanaga allowed four home runs, including back-to-back homers to start the seventh inning before his night came to a close. One of the homers he allowed was of the inside-the-park variety after Pete Crow-Armstrong lost a fly ball off the bat of Shea Langeliers in the lights. The lefthander had a 2.32 ERA over his first nine starts of the season but has endured a disastrous last four outings, pitching to a 10.80 ERA and an 0-3 record. He has allowed 26 runs on 27 hits, including 12 home runs, in 21.2 innings during his last four starts. It won't get too much easier for him as he is lined up to pitch in Coors Field against the Rockies on Wednesday in his next start.
