Sal Stewart homers in win over Padres Tuesday

by Brenton Kemp | Reds Correspondent | Wed, Jun 10th 4:46pm EDT

Reds first baseman Sal Stewart went 1-for-4 with a homer in a 5-3 win over the Padres on Tuesday.

Fantasy Impact:

Stewart's two-run homer in the top of the 11th inning would prove to be the game-winner in an extra-innings victory for the Reds on Tuesday. The long ball was the 22-year-old's 13th of the season, but just his first since May 20. Stewart's bat has understandably cooled since a white-hot start to the season, but the rookie has still posted big numbers for fantasy managers with 13 home runs, 36 runs, 42 RBI, 10 stolen bases, and an .815 OPS through 66 games.
