Kazuma Okamoto homers again in loss to Yankees Saturday

by Brenton Kemp | Blue Jays Correspondent | Sun, Jun 14th 10:33am EDT

Blue Jays third baseman Kazuma Okamoto went 1-for-3 with a solo homer and a walk in a 3-1 loss to the Yankees on Saturday.

Fantasy Impact:

Okamoto got the scoring started in this one, lifting a solo homer to left field off of Yankees starter Cam Schlittler in the third inning. Unfortunately for him and the Blue Jays, Schlittler and the Yankees' bullpen would ensure the solo blast would be the only run on the day for the Blue Jays. Nonetheless, the long ball was Okamoto's second in as many days and his 15th of the season. He is slashing .231/.311/.442 with 15 homers, 34 runs, and 41 RBI across 69 games this season.
