Kevin Gausman dominant, takes tough-luck no-decision Saturday

by Brenton Kemp | Blue Jays Correspondent | Sun, Jun 14th 10:37am EDT

Blue Jays right-hander Kevin Gausman allowed just one earned run across seven innings, but took a no-decision on Saturday against the Yankees.

Fantasy Impact:

It was a pitcher's duel between Gausman and Yankees star Cam Schlittler on Saturday afternoon, as both pitchers allowed just one earned run in seven innings of work. For Gausman, he allowed just one hit and two walks while striking out seven on the day. Paul Goldschmidt's two-run homer off of Blue Jays closer Louis Varland in the ninth would be the difference in this one. Gausman has now allowed one earned run or less in four of his last six starts, with two four-run outings mixed in. He will take a 3.41 ERA into his next scheduled start on Friday afternoon on the road against the Cubs.
