Pete Fairbanks notches save Sunday

by Nicholas Rodriguez | Marlins Correspondent | Sun, Jun 14th 9:27pm EDT

Pete Fairbanks allowed one run on one hit and did not issue a walk while striking out two batters to earn the save in Sunday's 4-2 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Fantasy Impact:

Fairbanks surrendered a two-out solo home run to Bryan Reynolds after striking out the first two batters he faced, but he bounced back by getting Ryan O'Hearn to line out and end the game. Fairbanks has converted three saves in June while posting a 4.76 ERA and 1.59 WHIP with eight strikeouts across 5.2 innings. Despite an inconsistent season, fantasy managers can continue to expect him to receive the majority of the save opportunities for the Miami Marlins.
