Bryce Elder struggles early in Sunday's loss
by Nate Miller | Braves Correspondent | Mon, Jun 15th 9:26am EDT
Bryce Elder allowed six runs on 10 hits and two walks while striking out two over four-plus innings in Sunday's 8-1 loss to the Mets.
Fantasy Impact:
Elder was tagged for four runs in the first inning on Sunday. Even though he settled in to hold the Mets scoreless over the next three frames, the righty gave up back-to-back solo homers to begin the bottom of the fifth before being yanked. Elder was coming off a pair of quality outings prior to this loss, and he has now given up more than three earned runs just twice through 15 starts in what has been a very solid season to this point. He will have a tough matchup against the Brewers on Saturday.
