Nick Martinez gave up three runs on five hits and one walk while striking out six across 5.1 innings in Monday's 4-3 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Fantasy Impact:
Martinez tied a season high with six strikeouts on Monday while allowing three earned runs. His only blemish came in the second inning, when he surrendered a three-run homer to Kyle Tucker. He settled in afterward and did not allow another run the rest of the outing. Martinez has been better than expected this season, posting a 2.60 ERA and 1.16 WHIP. He is scheduled to make his next start on Sunday against the Washington Nationals.
