Kyle Freeland settles for no-decision Friday

by David Leisering | Rockies Correspondent | Sat, Jun 20th 6:36am EDT

Kyle Freeland went 7.1 innings on Friday night and allowed two runs on four hits, did not walk a batter, and struck out eight in a no-decision against the Pirates.

Fantasy Impact:

Freeland easily had his best start since coming off the IL in late April and, arguably, his best outing of the season but was still unable to snap a streak of now 10 straight starts without a win. He went a season-high 7.1 innings, struck out a season-best eight batters, and needed only 81 pitches to go as deep into the game as he did. Freeland is 1-7 with a 7.36 ERA and a 1.58 WHIP in 13 starts this season. However, maybe Friday's start will get him back on track. He's lined up to get the Red Sox, at home, on Wednesday in his next start.
