Andrew Abbott hurls five innings in win over Yankees Saturday

by Brenton Kemp | Reds Correspondent | Sun, Jun 21st 11:45am EDT

Reds left-hander Andrew Abbott went five innings and allowed just one earned run while earning the win in a 10-2 rout of the Yankees on Saturday.

Fantasy Impact:

Abbott wasn't electric as he allowed five hits and three walks on the afternoon, but he did strike out six and allowed just one runner to cross home plate. The victory improved the southpaw to 5-4 on the season, although it appears he has been flirting with danger. He carries a 3.83 ERA through 16 starts, but his 4.88 xFIP and 5.03 SIERA suggest some regression should be had moving forward.
