Zach Thornton sharp on mound in no-decision
by Chris Schommer | Mets Correspondent | Sat, Jun 27th 10:04am EDT
Zach Thornton allowed one earned run on five hits and one walk while striking out seven over six innings in Friday’s loss to the Phillies.
Fantasy Impact:
Thornton turned in a much more stable performance in his first start with the big league club since May, allowing four earned runs in his only other trip to the mound this point. The left-hander will need to offer more stability if fantasy managers are to trust him as a reliable starting options in a disappointing Mets rotation, posting a 4.35 ERA and 1.16 WHIP with an 0-1 and 8.7 K/9 ratio record across two starts.
