Griffin Jax picks up win Tuesday

by Nicholas Rodriguez | Rays Correspondent | Wed, Jul 1st 6:45am EDT

Griffin Jax allowed three runs on five hits and no walks while striking out five across six innings in Tuesday's 10-4 win over the Kansas City Royals.

Fantasy Impact:

Jax displayed excellent command, issuing no walks, but was hurt by the long ball. He surrendered a solo homer to Carter Jensen in the first inning and a two-run shot to Bobby Witt Jr. in the third. Aside from those two mistakes, he turned in his first quality start of the 2026 season. Over six starts in June, he posted a 3.30 ERA and 1.13 WHIP with 31 strikeouts across 30 innings. His next scheduled start is on Sunday against the Houston Astros.
