Sal Stewart clubs homer in loss to Brewers Tuesday

by Brenton Kemp | Reds Correspondent | Wed, Jul 1st 11:28am EDT

Reds first baseman Sal Stewart went 2-for-4 with a double, a homer, and two RBI in a 7-2 loss to the Brewers on Tuesday.

Fantasy Impact:

Stewart's bat accounted for the entirety of the Reds' offense in this one, as he slugged a first-inning solo homer to kick off the scoring before lacing an RBI double in the sixth. After slumping in late May into early June, Stewart now has multi-hit efforts in three of his last four games with two homers, two doubles, three runs, and four RBI over that stretch. He is slashing .257/.342/.467 with 16 homers, 45 runs, 59 RBI, and 11 stolen bases across 84 games on the season.
