Fantasy Impact:
Fernandez took the loss in Monday's game, as he was charged with three runs (two earned) on two hits without retiring a batter. The 28-year-old righty has been very effective out of the pen for the Cardinals overall, posting a 2.70 ERA and 20-7 K/BB ratio across 13 1/3 innings. Fernandez has pitched in each of the last two days, however, and the Cardinals need a full bullpen for Tuesday's doubleheader.
