Blue Jays right-hander Kevin Gausman allowed seven runs (four earned) across 5 1/3 innings while taking the loss against the Giants on Monday.
Fantasy Impact:
Gausman didn't get much help from his defense in this one, as the Blue Jays made three defensive errors on Monday, including a throwing error that allowed Heliot Ramos to score on a leadoff triple in the first inning. Nonetheless, Gausman wasn't entirely sharp himself, allowing five hits while walking another four against eight strikeouts on the night. The veteran has allowed 18 runs over his last four starts and will carry an elevated 4.32 ERA into his next scheduled start, which will come on the road against the Padres on Sunday.
