Kyle Higashioka homers as pinch hitter
by Bruno Mulé | Rangers Correspondent |
Kyle Higashioka went 1-for-1 with a solo home run as a pinch hitter in Wednesday’s 13-1 loss to the Angels. He hit the homer in the eighth inning to put Texas on the board, then stayed in the game as a pitcher and allowed two runs on two hits with a hit batter in one inning of mop-up work.
Fantasy Impact:
Higashioka is 8-for-37 with two home runs and a 5:9 BB over his last 14 games. He remains in a backup role behind Elias Diaz while Danny Jansen is sidelined with a forearm injury.
