Fantasy Impact:
Waldschmidt, the Diamondbacks' top prospect, returned to the majors Friday after being recalled from the minors but was forced to exit early. He has been diagnosed with a right thumb contusion and is considered day-to-day. It's unclear if he'll be available for Saturday's game, as the team plans to monitor the swelling and mobility in his thumb closer to first pitch.
