Ernie Clement went 1-for-5 in a loss to the Padres with a two-run home run.

Clement has caught fire at the plate of late, collecting hits in each of his last seven contests. The second baseman has rewarded manager John Schneider with one of the few impactful bats in an inconsistent Blue Jays lineup, slashing .296 with eight home runs, 32 RBI, 42 runs scored, and three stolen bases through 93 games.
