The Arizona Diamondbacks are expected to promote Tyler Locklear to the major league roster ahead of Friday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals. (Arizona Republic)

With Tommy Troy (shoulder) landing on the injured list, Locklear will take his spot on the active roster. Locklear has slashed .313/.394/.502 with eight home runs across 211 at-bats at Triple-A Reno this season. He should see plenty of playing time with Arizona, splitting time between first base and designated hitter.
