Aaron Nola delivers solid effort in Thursday's loss

Aaron Nola allowed three runs on six hits and three walks while striking out six across six-plus innings in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the Mets.
Fantasy Impact:
If Philadelphia manager Don Mattingly had it to do over again, he'd almost certainly have taken Nola out of this contest after the sixth inning. Nola was excellent through the first half-dozen frames, surrendering just one run on a solo homer while striking out six. However, he gave up two more solo shots to the first two batters he faced in the seventh and left with the Phillies trailing 3-0. Still, after a rollercoaster of a season to this point, Nola came out of the All-Star break with an encouraging performance for the most part. The veteran righty has allowed three runs or less in six of his last seven starts, striking out 40 batters across 37 innings in that span. The home runs remain the main problem for Nola.
