Shota Imanaga allowed two runs on four hits and no walks while striking out six across 6.2 innings in Friday's 2-0 loss to the New York Yankees.

Imanaga took the loss on Friday despite allowing just two runs over six innings. He surrendered a solo homer to Amed Rosario in the fourth inning and another to Spencer Jones in the fifth. Despite the defeat, Imanaga has recorded three consecutive quality starts and finished July with a 1.53 ERA and 1.06 WHIP with 27 strikeouts across 29.1 innings. He's lined up to make his next start on Wednesday against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
