The Dodgers added left-hander Cole Irvin to the 40-man roster on Friday, costing McDermott his spot. The right-hander has appeared in just two games for the Dodgers this season, and has posted a 4.55 ERA in 32 Triple-A outings between Norfolk and Oklahoma City this season.
