Kevin Gausman allowed one earned run on nine hits and one walk while striking out four over 5 2/3 innings in Saturday's win over the Cardinals.

Gausman continues an underwhelming stretch on the mound, allowing three earned runs or more in six of his last eight contests. The right-hander remains one of many disappointing arms in a disappointing Blue Jays rotation for manager John Schneider, carrying a 4.38 ERA and 1.29 WHIP with a 5-10 record and 9.0 K/9 ratio across 23 starts.
