Pete Fairbanks tossed a scoreless ninth inning in Sunday's 2-0 win over the New York Mets to record his 17th save of the season.
Fantasy Impact:
Fairbanks issued two walks in the ninth inning but escaped the jam by getting A.J. Ewing to fly out to center field to end the game. Despite his 6.37 ERA on the season, the right-hander has now made five consecutive scoreless appearances while recording four saves during that span. He's beginning to reemerge as a viable option in deeper fantasy leagues.
