The Red Sox have traded right-handed pitching prospect Kyson Witherspoon to the Orioles as part of a seven-player trade to acquire catcher Adley Rutschman. (Boston Red Sox on Twitter)

Witherspoon, the Red Sox No. 4 prospect, as per MLB Pipeline, was one of five players the Red Sox sent to the O's on Monday. The 21-year-old was the club's first-round pick in 2025, and has posted a 4.78 ERA in 17 starts at High-A in his first pro season in 2026.
