Cal Quantrill allowed one earned run on four hits and one walk while striking out four over six innings in Monday’s loss to the Giants.

Quantrill continues a strong stretch on the mound, allowing two earned runs or less in eight of his last nine contests. The right-hander has offered manager Skip Schumaker a stable arm in the Rangers rotation after an underwhelming start to the season, posting a 3.62 ERA and 1.21 WHIP with a 4-4 record and .687 OPS allowed across 23 appearances.
