Hunter Brown allowed three earned runs on three hits and two walks while striking out eight over six innings in Wednesday's 5-4 loss to the Blue Jays.

Brown has underwhelmed on the mound of late, allowing three earned runs or more in four of his last six contests. The right-hander remains one of the more stable starting options in a disappointing Astros rotation for manager Joe Espada, carrying a 3.53 ERA and 1.24 WHIP with a 3-1 record and 9.7 K/9 ratio through 11 starts.
