Jose Soriano allowed one earned run on four hits and three walks while striking out three over 4 2/3 innings in Friday's win over the Phillies.

Soriano has settled down on the mound of late, allowing two earned runs or less in four of his last five contests. The right-hander will look to offer manager John Schneider another stable arm in an underperforming Blue Jays rotation after being acquired at the trade deadline, carrying a 3.24 ERA and 1.26 WHIP with a 9-6 record and 9.2 K/9 ratio across 23 starts.
