Tyler Phillips allowed four runs on six hits and one walk while striking out six across 5.1 innings in Thursday's 13-1 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Fantasy Impact:
Phillips tossed four scoreless innings before running into trouble in the fifth, when he gave up a triple to Jake Mangum and a home run to Jared Triolo. He then allowed two consecutive one-out singles in the sixth and was removed shortly after, with both runners eventually coming around to score and charged to his line. In three starts in August, Phillips owns a 4.40 ERA and 1.33 WHIP with 13 strikeouts across 14.1 innings. His next scheduled start is on Tuesday against the Philadelphia Phillies.
