Andrew Painter turns in solid outing Thursday
by Nate Miller | Phillies Correspondent |
Andrew Painter gave up just one run on five hits and three walks while striking out eight over six innings in Thursday's 5-1 loss to the Brewers.
Fantasy Impact:
Despite a Phillies' loss, Painter closed out his first MLB regular season on a high note. The rookie righty matched a career high with eight strikeouts, hitting that mark for the third time this year. Over five starts this month, Painter has put up a 3.49 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, and 30-t0 K/BB ratio across 28 1/3 innings. He would likely move into a bullpen role for the Phillies' first playoff series should they clinch this weekend.
