Adam LaRoche contemplating stepping away from baseball

Adam LaRoche, who had struggled last season, is considering stepping away from baseball for a personal issue. Out of respect for the White Sox and his teammates, he is taking a few days to think it over. If LaRoche retires, the White Sox will be without a designated hitter. (Chicago Tribune)
Fantasy Impact:
If LaRoche retires, they will be losing a left-handed hitter and veteran presence in the locker room. LaRoche is not projected to make a big fantasy impact, but his absence could give some of their other players a chance for a bigger role. Austin Jackson could see more playing time as they use Avisail Garcia or Melky Cabrera in the DH position throughout the season.
