Dustin Ackley to get spot start

by Chris Zolli | Tue, May 10th 4:12pm EDT

Dustin Ackley will start at first base on Tuesday, hitting fifth in place of Mark Teixiera. Ackley has also started in the outfield this season, building his value as a utility player. (Bryan Hoch on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact:

Ackley may have value with his multi-positional eligibility, but he has yet to hit enough to be truly valuable to the Yankees. Acquired at the trade deadline last season, Ackley has played all over the infield and corner outfield, a poor man's Ben Zobrist, but he only has a. 347 OPS in 36 plate appearances this season. Keep in mind that he had a .982 OPS in 57 plate appearances with the Yankees in 2015, but don't expect too much out of Ackley.
