Starlin Castro goes yard on Thursday
by Jamison Malasko | Fri, May 13th 8:16am EDT
Starlin Castro went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in a 7-3 victory over the Royals. Castro home run came in the first inning off starter Ian Kennedy and added a RBI single in the seventh. He is hitting .308 for the year with four home runs and 14 RBI.
Fantasy Impact:
Castro now has a seven game hitting streak and seems to be hitting that stride he had when he began the season. The Yankees offense are also showing signs of life which is creating opportunities to knock runs in. Castro has settled into the number two spot in the order since Jacoby Ellsbury went on the DL and has seemed to benefit from that. He is a must play in all formats due him being able to fill up the stat sheet.
