Glen Perkins had more shoulder damage than originally thought

Glen Perkins recently underwent season-ending shoulder surgery. The procedure revealed that Perkins had been suffering from more shoulder damage than originally thought. (Star Tribune)
Fantasy Impact:
This makes sense considering the team kept placing expectations that Perkins would be able to return this season before finally throwing in the towel and opting for surgery. The good news is that this was all determined and cleaned up. The bad news is that since the labrum had to be re-attached Perkins is looking at a much longer recovery time than initially indicated. His start for the 2017 season is now more in question than it was initially expected to be.
