Prince Fielder may need season ending surgery

The Texas Rangers have placed Prince Fielder (herniated disc in neck) and Shin-Soo Choo (low back inflammation) on the disabled list. (www.nbcdfw.com)
Fantasy Impact:
Prince has been struggling all season so it would make sense that he was trying to play through an injury. At this point in the season, he is either a trade chip or someone to place in a DL spot. If you do not have a DL spot, in a season-long league, then he should be cut. Dynasty formats you might want to look for a trade or hold onto him.
