The Blue Jays optioned Davis Schneider to Triple-A Buffalo.
Fantasy Impact
Schneider is hitting just .153 on the season. He gets sent down to make room for prospect Sean Keys.
Davis Schneider went 2-for-4 in a win over the Red Sox with a home run, a double, one run scored, and two RBI.
Fantasy Impact
Schneider has heated up at the plate since being called back, driving in runs in two of his last three contests. The 27-year-old remains one of the more underwhelming options for manager John Schneider when in the Blue Jays lineup, slashing .163 with three homers, 11 RBI, 15 runs scored, and one stolen base through 41 games.
Blue Jays outfielder Davis Schneider went 2-for-3 with a solo homer and a walk in an 8-3 loss to the Yankees on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact
Schneider tied the game at three with a solo shot to center field in the bottom of the sixth inning, but a five-run ninth from the Yankees was more than enough in an 8-3 win. The long ball was just Schneider's second of the season and his first since March 30th, his second game of the season. It's been a disappointing campaign at the plate for the 27-year-old, who is slashing .145/.309/.263 with two homers, 14 runs, nine RBI, and a stolen base in 95 trips to the plate on the season.
Davis Schneider was recalled from Triple-A by the Toronto Blue Jays on Friday.
Fantasy Impact
Schneider will be active for Friday's game against the Yankees, as he was called up in a corresponding move to Daulton Varsho hitting the IL. Schneider is hitting .127 in 71 at-bats at the MLB level this season.
Davis Schneider has been optioned to Triple-A Buffalo by the Toronto Blue Jays. Outfielder Nathan Lukes (hamstring) has been reinstated from the injured list in a corresponding move.
Fantasy Impact
Schneider has been struggling mightily this season, batting just .127 (9-for-71) with one home run and eight RBI in 38 games. He registered just three hits in his last 47 at bats (.064) dating back to April 14. Schneider does have some pop in his bat, hitting 24 home runs in 585 at bats over the 2024 and 2025 seasons. Schneider will head to Buffalo to get regular at bats and work on his approach in the hopes of a return to the majors at some point later this summer.
