Davis Schneider has been optioned to Triple-A Buffalo by the Toronto Blue Jays. Outfielder Nathan Lukes (hamstring) has been reinstated from the injured list in a corresponding move.
Fantasy Impact
Schneider has been struggling mightily this season, batting just .127 (9-for-71) with one home run and eight RBI in 38 games. He registered just three hits in his last 47 at bats (.064) dating back to April 14. Schneider does have some pop in his bat, hitting 24 home runs in 585 at bats over the 2024 and 2025 seasons. Schneider will head to Buffalo to get regular at bats and work on his approach in the hopes of a return to the majors at some point later this summer.
