Keegan Akin gave up four runs on five hits and a walk over three innings against the Blue Jays on Sunday. Two of those hits were homers and accounted for three of the runs. The Orioles ended up winning 7-5, leaving Akin with a no-decision.
Akin finishes 2020 with a 4.56 ERA, 1.44 WHIP, and 35 strikeouts in 25 and 2/3 innings. He showed promise towards the end of the year, and will likely be on and off the waiver wire in deeper leagues all next year.
Keegan Akin gave up four runs (two earned) against the Red Sox on Tuesday, striking out six over four innings. He allowed eight hits (but just one extra-base hit) and didn't issue a walk. The Orioles lost, 8-3.
Akin didn't pitch deeper due to throwing 94 pitches through those four innings. Errors by Rio Ruiz and DJ Stewart really hurt him in the third inning, as that's where most of his pitches took place. He'll take a 3.57 ERA, 1.37 WHIP, and 31 strikeouts in 22 and 2/3 innings into his final start against the Blue Jays on Sunday. This could be a very favorable matchup if the Blue Jays end up resting players.

Akin had one poor outing sandwiched between two great outings, and now has a 3.38 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, and 25 strikeouts in 18 and 2/3 innings. Akin will take on the Red Sox on the road in his next start, making him a great streamer.

Akin certainly didn't pitch well, but his bullpen did not do him any favors either. Akin now has a 4.61 ERA, 1.39 WHIP, and 16 strikeouts in 13 and 2/3 innings. If he gets another start, it will likely be against the Rays.
Keegan Akin surprised the Yankees on Saturday, striking out eight over 5 and 1/3 innings. While he did allow three hits and four walks, none of those runners crossed the plate. The Orioles won, 6-1, but unfortunately left Akin with a no-decision.
Akin certainly had a breakout performance Saturday, and now has a 2.08 ERA and 1.15 WHIP to go with 15 strikeouts in 13 innings. He will face these same Yankees on the road in his next time out.
